Josh Thomson

Josh Thomson is a Timaru born idiot from sturdy South Island and even sturdier Tongan Island Stock.

He studied Theatre, Film and Media Studies at the University of Otago and now has a useless Bachelor of Arts somewhere at his parent's house.

Josh arrived in Auckland to do stand up comedy and appeared in a couple of "Pulp Comedy's", but took up acting because actors get lunch, and most of the time they don't have to pay for it.

A stalwart of the NZ 48 Hours Short Film Competition, winning with The Down Low Concept in 2006 and 2011, Josh has also appeared in TV commercials and series that no one watched including 2012 NZ Best Comedy Winner "Hounds", "A Night At The Classic", and the upcoming "Short Poppies".

Also working behind the scenes, Josh is a writer and the director of the first two series of "Jono's New Show", reaity series "Bigger, Better, Faster, Stronger", both series of "A Night At The Classic" and the occasional TV Commercial.

Josh continues work in Auckland as an actor, director, writer, editor and whatever else he can do to pretend he is saving for a house.
