Former Black Caps one-day star Chris Harris is ready to lace up his dance shoes and shimmy in front of the country on Dancing With The Stars! Swapping his cricket lingo for dancing terminology, Chris is looking forward to adding a new string to his bow.
“The show looks like great fun, and a chance to learn a new skill.”
He secretly admits that he did a term of tap classes as a child, but that is the extent of his dance experience. The style he is most looking forward to learning is the jive.
Born and bred in Christchurch, Chris lives there with his family. He is an ambassador for Fertility NZ, as well as the NZ Foundation for Conductive Education which is his chosen charity for the series. Conductive Education is a system of training for people with motor disorders, and they are especially close to Chris’ heart because one of his daughters currently attends their programmes.
Chris currently works as an Account Manager, and is always striving to be the best husband and father he possibly can. Aside from cricket, he loves playing croquet and golf.
