Surf life-saving coach Zac Franich set tongues wagging in 2017 when he was announced as the season three Bachelor New Zealand, and now he's back on our screens for Dancing With The Stars!
On his new role, Zac says it was the challenge that enticed him to take part, “I love a challenge! It’s also a chance to meet some great people and raise awareness for a good cause”.
The 29-year-old heartthrob grew up on Auckland’s Hibiscus Coast, where he works full time as the head coach at Orewa Surf Life Saving Club. Zac is a self-described ‘laid-back Kiwi bloke’ and a lover of sports and the outdoors, having represented New Zealand in sprint kayaking. When he’s not out on the water, he enjoys music and keeping fit.
Zac has chosen the Live More Awesome Foundation as his charity, saying “they are an action-based mental wellness group, with events to help people make their choice to make a change in their lives”.
Zac may have to learn on his feet, as when asked about previous dance experience he says “outside of going to a bar? Zero”.
