Funny man Dai Henwood returns to host Dancing with the Stars NZ in 2019.
Dai has become a popular household name over the years, with hosting gigs on Dancing with the Stars, Family Feud NZ and holds the position of team captain on 7 Days.
On returning to the show for another year of sequins and sashays, Dai says: “In the first season I came for the spray tans and stayed for the dancing. I loved it so much I performed my own dance to ‘Time After Time.’ If the producers let me I have been working on another dance for next season. I can’t give anything away but the title is bird related."
As well as being a regular feature on Kiwi screens, Dai is also in his element when on stage.
A sell-out comedian and speaker, Dai has performed all over the world including The Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, The Edinburgh Festival and over ten years in the New Zealand International Comedy Festival.
The lovable larrikin was the winner of the 2002 Billy T Award, the 2005 NZCG Best Male Comedian, the 2007 Fred Award, the 2008 Best Local Show and a total sell out for three years running at the Comedy Festival.
He has been a regular on New Zealand television since 2006 with shows such as Insert Video Here, Roll The Dai as well as stand-up comedy specials.
