Russian beauty Rachel White is returning to the Dancing with the Stars NZ family in the new year, and promises she’ll be bolder and badder than ever. Known as the ‘mean judge’ Rachel’s no-holds-barred attitude to dishing out the feedback made her an instant hit with the viewers last season.
"I'm not mean - I'm honest. Coaching and dancing is in my blood, it's a passion. Dancing with the Stars is all about the journey of self-improvement. Constructive criticism is what’s necessary to really see the dancers excel and push boundaries beyond what any of us thought was possible, I can’t help but want to see the stars grow!”
Rachel is a two-time NZ Professional Latin Champion, representative to the World Championships, and owner of JustDance Studio in Southern California.
She is currently ranked #5 Top Female Dance Teacher in the USA, by the Dancesport World Series, and was ranked 8th in the world alongside fellow judge Julz Tocker in Professional Smooth in 2017.
She first graced our screens in 2009 when she was partnered with celebrity Josh Kronfeld on Dancing with the Stars NZ, where they placed 3rd.
Since the last season of DWTS NZ, Rachel has been busy dedicating her life to everything dance, from coaching and preparing her couples and students for various competitions, to judging prestigious events, and also developing dance programs for schools and hospitals.
She is based in Los Angeles with her Kiwi husband Stuart.
