Celebrity chef and entrepreneur Nadia Lim is ready to add a bit of flavour to the DWTS dance floor in 2019.
Auckland born Nadia, who is of Chinese-Malaysian heritage, has been cooking since age 12, but rose to prominence after winning MasterChef NZ in 2011.
‘Nude food enthusiast’, Nadia has a background as a clinical dietitian, and has become a vocal advocate for unprocessed, natural, healthy meals for Kiwi families. She is the founder of hugely popular food delivery service, My Food Bag.
She is also a top-selling author, TV host, wife and mother to sons, Bodhi (2) and River (5 months). Two and a half years ago she launched NADIA magazine, an award-winning bimonthly title sharing inspirations around food, family and life.
On swapping her chefs whites for sequins Nadia says:
“My eighty year old self told me to do it! If there’s anything I’ve learnt, it’s that life is just a bunch of experiences, so why not?! I’m a sucker for a good challenge and it looks like so much fun. I’m expecting it’ll be hard work though! It’s been a long time since I was on the dance floor (of the university bar) back in my scarfie days where, believe it or not, I met my future husband, so I must have had at least one or two impressive moves!”
