What are your three favourite things in your home and why are they special to you?
Ita: Obviously the ceiling and roof shape… It’s just beautiful, it's all I can say really. The layout, the kitchen, the mezzanine floor! That's another one, actually Ted wasn't thinking about a mezzanine floor at first but I said to him, I want a mezzanine floor, this place asks for a mezzanine floor.
Ted: The bathroom is pretty special, the kitchen is very special, I like everything of this, there is nothing in here I’d say I would have done differently.
What’s your top tip for people wanting to build their own Grand Design?
Ita: Have a vision, a dream that you can just keep going at. Just push through the difficulties.
Your build is complete now, what’s next? Do you have any new projects lined up?
Ita: Finishing the rest of the building, there is a small apartment to finish on the same level as this apartment, and then there is a three bedroom apartment downstairs which at the moment is Ted’s office and then the workshop, the workshop is the major one because we have to move everything out.
